Historic milestones
2005
Founded in Chișinău
The first local committee is established in Chișinău at the Technical University of Moldova, bringing international exchange opportunities to Moldovan students for the first time.
2007
15 exchanges facilitated
The first Moldovan students are sent abroad through AIESEC programs and the first international interns are welcomed to Moldova, starting a cross-cultural exchange that continues today.
2010
2 active cities
A second local committee launches in Bălți, extending AIESEC's reach to northern Moldova and doubling our member base.
2012
5+ university partners
Partnerships with Moldova's top five universities create a strong foundation for recruiting talented students and hosting quality exchanges.
2015
100+ members
We reach 100 active members across Moldova and become one of the fastest-growing youth organizations in the country, with a presence in major universities.
2017
20+ corporate partners
Partnerships with major Moldovan companies and the IT sector open professional internship opportunities for international talent in Moldova's growing economy.
2019
National coverage
Strategic zones of responsibility extend our reach across all Moldovan regions, so every student has access to AIESEC opportunities.
2020–2021
Virtual programs launched
We adapt to global challenges by launching virtual exchange programs and online leadership training, keeping our community moving through difficult times.
2022
500+ volunteers engaged
Large-scale projects begin, including the Youth Leadership Summit Moldova, the Clean Moldova Initiative and Digital Skills programs in rural areas.
2024
500+ members strong
Nearly twenty years in, we have 500+ active members, 100+ partner organizations and 200+ annual exchanges, making AIESEC a real force for youth development in Moldova.
